The OMEGA Valve Mod. 3 is the first tunable gas valve for the large frame Sig Sauer MCX SPEAR line of rifles. It is made from 17-4 stainless steel via additive DMLS manufacturing, and is coated in an advanced hexagonal boron nitride coating. It does three things: It features a redesigned indexing lug that allows for four gas positions as opposed to the original two. It utilizes extended gas flow paths to delay entry of the gas into the expansion chamber of the Valve, slowing down the cycling of the rifle.
